Founded in 1973, Style Fair'due south initial launch set a new standard for makeup, with its unique range of aureate and mahogany foundation shades, vibrant eye shadows, and more, created simply for Black and Dark-brown skin. In its heyday, Way Fair products were revered by A-list celebrities of color, including supermodel Pat Cleveland, actress Diahann Carroll, and legend Aretha Franklin amid them.

This month's relaunch marks the kickoff of a new chapter in the company'southward history, with updated vegan and natural formulas powering the new collection. Many of Fashion Fair'south original client favorites will come up dorsum also, but in a fresh, new way. "The brand is inspired past its history, while at the same time, we've created a drove that has been designed with the needs of today'south consumers in listen," Mode Fair co-owner Desiree Rogers tells Bazaar.com. "We're featuring cleaner products and natural additives like vitamin C, vitamin E, turmeric, bamboo powder, and greenish tea extract—all created for darker skin tones. Each of the foundations and powders in the Fashion Off-white line are vegan."

The company is standing its mission of empowering people of color, not merely through its enhanced product offerings, just too with a new scholarship and beauty business organization internship for select students attending the historically Blackness Spelman College, slated to kick off in 2022.
